I might be the most inconsistent blogger on the planet. Some weeks I’m so gung-ho about blogging and other weeks I just don’t even feel like writing. I’m trying to get better, I promise!
So I have this folder on my desktop where my personal photos get dumped into until I have time to go through and edit them all. This week I’ve been trying to catch up, and in doing so, I came across some images of one of my clients’ wedding album. I can’t even explain how much I’m in love with these wedding albums by Madera Books. They are so gorgeous and photos don’t do them justice – you have to hold one of these babies. But, since it’s below zero today and I’m guessing you don’t want to come over for an album holding party, these photos will have to do for now! ;)
Each album comes in its own box to protect it from dust and other elements.
The spine gets stamped with the couple’s name.
This is where these albums really stand out from the pack. The pages are thick – they’ve got a substrate between each page to add durability. You can’t bend these pages!
The spreads (two side-by-side pages) lay completely flat when open.
Another favorite thing about these albums. The pages aren’t folded – they have a very small cut down the center, which I believe makes the album look much, much cleaner than a folded page. The cut is so small that it doesn’t affect images across the gutter at all.
Amazing, right? I just love couples who purchase an album with their collection because these things will last forever, and even I find myself flipping through our own wedding album quite often. I’ve said this many times (especially lately since I’ve been printing personal photo books), but seriously, looking at photos in a printed book or album is so much better than looking at them on a computer. I think it’s the analog-ness of it that makes it so magical. So print your pictures, and if you’re getting married, order a wedding album! You won’t regret it! :)
